One of my favorite books I’ve read so far this year! The plot is very fast-paced and you can literally read any page of the book and immediately get hooked。 It’s a good book for book slumps/getting into reading and I highly highly recommend! It’s a slow-burn enemies to lovers with the most badass female MC! There’s pirates & sirens & so much action :]

✯ [3。75/5] ✯TW: Sexual AssaultSuch a fun and fast read, I enjoyed less and more than I expected, It's kinda hard to explain。 I really liked Alosa, even if she suffers of the "main character" syndrome and thinks she is best than everyone, but at least it isn't all talk。 And I kinda get her personality because she is the Daughter of Pirate King, of course she will think she is best than everybody, but。。。 It still was kinda annoying。 I kinda hated The Pirate King, even if he shows so little about e ✯ [3。75/5] ✯TW: Sexual AssaultSuch a fun and fast read, I enjoyed less and more than I expected, It's kinda hard to explain。 I really liked Alosa, even if she suffers of the "main character" syndrome and thinks she is best than everyone, but at least it isn't all talk。 And I kinda get her personality because she is the Daughter of Pirate King, of course she will think she is best than everybody, but。。。 It still was kinda annoying。 I kinda hated The Pirate King, even if he shows so little about everyone。 And I didn't like it the sexual assault inuendos and scenes, I think we need more discussion about this things that are really problematic。Also the Ryden was a little bit boring and bland, but I still liked him and the couple that It was formed。 And some of the pirates in this crew was interesting, but I would've liked more scenes of fight and less scenes of questions。And of course the siren matters, I wanted more of mermaids/sirens in this book, but all the scenes of this book was really nice when they showed。 Or were mentioned。 And I liked their connection with Alosa (I think It may be a spoiler so I will keep it like this)。 I am excited to see if they appear in the next book。 So yes if you want a fast pirate read this one is for you! 。。。more

I loved this book so so much, it had the perfect amount of romance, the perfect amounts of mystery and it was just perfect in general (: The world building was good, it was a fast-paced read that I read in one night。

This book is enemies to lovers, one bed troupe, has pirates and a badass female lead。 I honestly don't know what else you could ask for。 This is a great book to pick up in a reading rut, it is face paced, and keeps you on your toes。 I will say some of the plot I found myself thinking was a bit。。。 cheesy and didn't love some of the ending chapters。 However, overall I thought it was rather good。 This book is enemies to lovers, one bed troupe, has pirates and a badass female lead。 I honestly don't know what else you could ask for。 This is a great book to pick up in a reading rut, it is face paced, and keeps you on your toes。 I will say some of the plot I found myself thinking was a bit。。。 cheesy and didn't love some of the ending chapters。 However, overall I thought it was rather good。 。。。more

Fun fast read。 I loved the banter and all the pirates- especially the two that become her friends。 Interesting plot line, don’t know if I’ll actually read the second book

Beatrice Rani

I instantly love this book from the very first sentence, perfect

4。5/5 - I think bumping up the story to a New Adult level would’ve been the driving home factor for a 5/5。 It was *almost* everything I wanted。 So close。

Wow!! The enemies to lovers was amazing。 This was my first book that had the “scars trope” and oh my lanta! That was AMAZING! A really nice fun read。 It was a little hard to get into but once they start talking man does it ever pull you in。

DNF。 It was okay。。。until I was blindsided with a major plot point that literally came out of nowhere。 Nowhere, I tell you。 Then, I lost interest。

This is an entertaining read。 Keeps you on your toes and is written well enough for you to want to read the sequel。 Would recommend it to those looking for something light to pass the time。

Reading the authors kindle notes on the book had me instantly hooked and she did not disappoint。 In all her books, her characters are charming, witty, stubborn, and fierce and I love it。 Alosa had me laughing or smirking the entire time。 Her gall in the face of death was impressive。 I adored her character and her crew。 The elusive ways she found out of every situation and her intelligence。 Let’s not forget about the cocky first mate, Riden。 I couldn’t help but look forward to all their interacti Reading the authors kindle notes on the book had me instantly hooked and she did not disappoint。 In all her books, her characters are charming, witty, stubborn, and fierce and I love it。 Alosa had me laughing or smirking the entire time。 Her gall in the face of death was impressive。 I adored her character and her crew。 The elusive ways she found out of every situation and her intelligence。 Let’s not forget about the cocky first mate, Riden。 I couldn’t help but look forward to all their interactions。 He was always on the lookout for his tricks and yet fell into her traps more than one time。 And even though his brother is a wretched sort of man, Ioved the fierceness which Riden protected him。 It made his character development stronger and showed how constantly conflicted he was。 I can’t wait to see how Alosa and Riden continue in the next book, including if she finally defies her father 。。。more

As others have described it this book is a whole lot of fun!I enjoyed our main character for the most part although I think that if the author didn't write her to be so humorous she would have annoyed me a bit。 The romance was eh/whatever nothing special but I was surprised the love interest was not the captain。 I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed it! I thought this book was slightly clever with all of the small plot twists。 I also liked how the main characters were different from what you get in a typical adventure/romance book like this。 I liked the added character depth with the main character (and how she was half-siren)。 There were some things that I didn't really love though。 I thought that there was chemistry between Alosa and Riden but it was presented in a really odd way。 First Alosa thinks Riden is annoying and cocky and then the ne I thought this book was slightly clever with all of the small plot twists。 I also liked how the main characters were different from what you get in a typical adventure/romance book like this。 I liked the added character depth with the main character (and how she was half-siren)。 There were some things that I didn't really love though。 I thought that there was chemistry between Alosa and Riden but it was presented in a really odd way。 First Alosa thinks Riden is annoying and cocky and then the next second she's kissing him out of "frustration"? I don't think so。 Regardless, I thought this was a pretty good book and I enjoyed it。 。。。more

I LOVED this book! I would go as far as saying it’s my favourite book I have read yet。 I loved the style of writing and the sarcasm from both Alosa and Riden and caught myself smiling and laughing throughout the book。 Loved the adventure also。 I have never read a pirate book before and I am so glad I read this book! 5/5 stars!!!

This was just an enjoyable and easy read。 It was a lot spicier than I expected from a YA。 I wish it were new adult instead of having to combine a YA writing style with new adult themes, but still keep them appropriate for a younger age group。 Otherwise, it was a joy。

Lauri MissDysfunktion

A fierce and sassy pirate princess who needs the help of no one。 I absolutely love the way Tricia provides such strong female main characters。 This book has the sea, pirates, a hell of a lot of sass and a splash of romance。 Great read!

Now was this a super complex and developed book? No。 Daughter of the Pirate King is an easy to read page-turner to binge-read in a day or two and enjoy just for its simplicity。 I started this book bc I just wanted to read something with the pirate aesthetic and it delivered, so I was satisfied。 As I say, a simple and entertaining book; nothing more, nothing less。And sorry for making a direct comparison between the two, but I liked the MC in this book (an the book in general, ngl) waaaay more tha Now was this a super complex and developed book? This book was so much fun and a very light read! I loved all the characters, especially Riden and Allosa who is a baddie! The book moved at a brisk pace and nothing felt unnecessary。 The constant banter was also extremely entertaining and I laughed out loud multiple times。 My one qualm with the book is the writing quality。 It is certainly not the best but gets the job done。 Therefore, the characters and plot are not as developed as they could be。 However, as already mentioned this book was a bla This book was so much fun and a very light read!
